A note about me

Hello,

My name is Mara LaPayne. Color, nature, and contrast inspire and guide my art, and I hope whatever I paint, at least one of them can bring a smile to your face. :)

I have recently been working on a collection of acrylic paint pour backgrounds for furry and feathered subjects. I believe the free form of paint pour contrasts beautifully with the precise strokes of the subject. The juxtaposition of the two just sings!

I chose to paint animals because they are simple, pure subjects that can soften the hardest of hearts. I know they melt mine!

Another aspect of my painting style, is my use of color. Using an explosion of bright colors that play off of each other, I can create excitement and brain tingles!

I am excited what will inspire me next. The goal with my art is always to make a space shine a little brighter and feel a little lighter. :)
